WASHINGTON, D.C. -- In response to the ruling by the D.C. Circuit Court of Appeals that the FCC's decision to make confidential broadcaster documents available to third parties during merger reviews was "both substantively and procedurally flawed," the following statement can be attributed to NAB Executive Vice President of Communications Dennis Wharton:

WASHINGTON, D.C. -- In response to a letter from several Democratic Senators to the FCC asking that the Commission preserve its rules regarding whether the pay-TV industry is "effectively competitive" in each market, the following statement can be attributed to NAB Executive Vice President of Communications Dennis Wharton:

WASHINGTON, DC -- Six members of the House of Representatives and one Senator have been added as co-sponsors of the Local Radio Freedom Act, a resolution that opposes "any new performance fee, tax, royalty, or other charge" on local broadcast radio stations. The resolution now has 183 co-sponsors in the House of Representatives and 16 in the Senate, one more than the 15 Senators who co-sponsored the resolution in the previous Congress.
