WASHINGTON, DC -- In response to today's passage of the RAY BAUM'S Act by the House of representatives, the following statement can be attributed to NAB President and CEO Gordon Smith:

The National Association of Broadcasters (NAB) will present the NAB Engineering Achievement and Digital Leadership Awards at the 2018 NAB Show in Las Vegas.

NAB Show will host a variety of digital and technology-related events during Tech Weekend, April 7-8 in Las Vegas. NAB Show is held April 7-12.

PILOT, an innovation initiative of the National Association of Broadcasters (NAB), is launching the PILOT Pitch Prize, a competition for early-stage startup companies to receive seed funding and support for providing technology solutions that could help broadcasters. Finalists will compete in a live pitch event at NAB Show New York, held October 17-18, 2018 at the Javits Convention Center.

The burgeoning podcast medium will be the focus of a new conference program, show floor pavilion and recording studio at the 2018 NAB Show, April 7-12 at the Las Vegas Convention Center. The annual convention is the world’s largest event encompassing the convergence of media, entertainment and technology.

NAB Show and Women in Film & Video (WIFV) will co-host the third annual #GalsNGear event at the 2018 NAB Show to enable networking and provide visibility and training for women in technology and content creation. The event will be held in the Central Lobby of the Las Vegas Convention Center on Tuesday, April 10.
