House Energy and Commerce Committee Chairman Greg Walden (R-OR) will discuss current legislation and its potential effect on the broadcast industry with NAB President and CEO Gordon Smith during the 2018 NAB Show Opening. The event will take place Monday, April 9 at 9:00 a.m. in the North Hall of the Las Vegas Convention Center.

NAB Show, the world’s largest annual conference and expo for professionals who create, manage, and distribute entertainment across all platforms, will feature “The VFX Wizardry Behind ‘Stranger Things 2,’” a Creative Master Series panel – produced in collaboration with Adobe – at the 2018 NAB Show.

WASHINGTON, DC -- In response to the death of Charles W. Rhodes, recipient of the NAB TV Engineering Achievement Award in 1996, the following statement can be attributed to NAB Executive Vice President of Communications Dennis Wharton:

Federal Communications Commission Chairman Ajit Pai and Commissioners Michael O'Rielly, Brendan Carr and Jessica Rosenworcel will participate in four separate sessions at NAB Show, April 7 – 12 in Las Vegas.

NAB Executive Vice President of Conventions and Business Operations Chris Brown announced that Eric Trabb will join the organization today as Senior Vice President of Business Development. In his new role, Trabb will be responsible for leading and managing the association’s sales team.

WASHINGTON, DC -- One Member of the House of Representatives and one Senator have added their support for the Local Radio Freedom Act, a resolution opposing "any new performance fee, tax, royalty, or other charge" on local broadcast radio stations. The Local Radio Freedom Act (LRFA) now has 221 cosponsors in the House. There are 26 LRFA co-sponsors in the Senate.

NAB Show will feature a panel of leading women in media to discuss the impact of disruptive forces on audience, revenue and the workforce.
