The National Association of Broadcasters announced the 50 finalists for the 30th Annual NAB Crystal Radio Awards. Since 1987, the NAB Crystal Radio Awards have recognized radio stations for their outstanding year-round commitment to community service. Winners will be announced and the finalists will be honored at the NAB Radio Luncheon. The Luncheon, sponsored by ASCAP, will be held Tuesday, April 25 during the 2017 NAB Show in Las Vegas.

WASHINGTON, D.C. – In response to the FCC approving a Notice of Proposed Rulemaking on a new broadcast television transmission standard, the following statement can be attributed to NAB Executive Vice President of Communications Dennis Wharton:

WASHINGTON, D.C. – The National Association of Broadcasters announced today that Nicole Gustafson and Grisella Martinez will join NAB as Vice Presidents of Government Relations on February 27. Gustafson and Martinez will report to Curtis LeGeyt, NAB Executive Vice President of Government Relations.

WASHINGTON, DC -- Two Representatives and two Senators have joined as cosponsors of a bipartisan resolution that opposes "any new performance fee, tax, royalty, or other charge" on local broadcast radio stations. The Local Radio Freedom Act (LRFA) now has 129 cosponsors in the House and 12 in the Senate.

WASHINGTON, D.C. – In response to the FCC granting a limited waiver of the rule prohibiting communications between broadcasters in the reverse auction portion of the incentive auction, the following statements can be attributed to NAB Executive Vice President of Communications Dennis Wharton:

WASHINGTON, DC -- Four Members of Congress have joined as cosponsors of a bipartisan resolution that opposes "any new performance fee, tax, royalty, or other charge" on local broadcast radio stations. The Local Radio Freedom Act (LRFA) now has 127 cosponsors in the House and 10 in the Senate.
