For the second year in a row, Broadcast Beat Magazine will produce and host “NAB Show LIVE,” at the annual NAB Show in Las Vegas. Held April 22-27, 2017, NAB Show is the world's largest convention encompassing the convergence of media, entertainment and technology.

WASHINGTON, D.C. -- Raycom Media President and CEO Pat LaPlatney testified this morning on behalf of the National Association of Broadcasters at a Senate Commerce Committee hearing on "Exploring the Value of Spectrum to the U.S. Economy."

WASHINGTON, DC -- A bipartisan group of 13 Representatives and three Senators have joined as cosponsors of a resolution that opposes "any new performance fee, tax, royalty, or other charge" on local broadcast radio stations. The Local Radio Freedom Act (LRFA) now has 142 cosponsors in the House and 15 in the Senate.

Amazon’s Emmy Award-winning drama “The Man in the High Castle” will headline a Super Session on Tuesday, April 25th at the 2017 NAB Show in Las Vegas. Held April 22-27, NAB Show is the world's largest convention encompassing the convergence of media, entertainment and technology.

ABC News Chief Business, Technology and Economics Correspondent Rebecca Jarvis will interview NAB Show Opening event headliner Hearst President and CEO Steven Swartz (previously announced) at the 2017 NAB Show. Held Monday, April 24 in Las Vegas, the NAB Show Opening event will be emceed by “CBS Sunday Morning” host Jane Pauley and is sponsored by Blackmagic Design.

SPROCKIT and NAB Show today announced the first 10 start-ups selected to participate in SPROCKIT’s 2017 program. Up to 30 emerging companies will be hand-selected by industry leaders to participate based on their potential to offer real solutions to challenges in today’s evolving market.
