Federal Communications Commission (FCC) Chairman Ajit Pai will address the 2017 NAB Show at a General Session open to all attendees on Tuesday, April 25 in Las Vegas. The address is expected to provide insight into the FCC’s policy and regulatory objectives related to broadcasting, technology and communications law and regulation.

The National Association of Broadcasters announced today that FOX Television and the CW Network will host meetings with their affiliated television station representatives at the NAB Show in Las Vegas. Also, the affiliate boards of directors of ABC, CBS, NBC and FOX Television will once again hold meetings during the NAB Show.

NAB Show New York was named last month as one of the fastest-growing trade shows by “Trade Show Executive” magazine.

WASHINGTON, D.C. – In response to the reports that FCC Chairman Ajit Pai has been renominated for another five-year term at the Commission, the following statement can be attributed to NAB President and CEO Gordon Smith:

John Kean, former senior technologist at National Public Radio, and John Lyons, assistant vice president and director of broadcast communications at The Durst Organization, are the 2017 recipients of the NAB Engineering Achievement Awards. Additionally, Catherine Badalamente, vice president of digital media for Graham Media Group, is the recipient of the Digital Leadership Award. The honorees will be recognized at the NAB Show Technology Luncheon on Wednesday, April 26 in Las Vegas.

The National Association of Broadcasters Education Foundation (NABEF) will host the NAB Show Career Fair at the Westgate Las Vegas Resort and Casino from 9:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 25. The career fair is part of NABEF's commitment to promoting diversity in the broadcast workplace and connects more than 1,000 entry and executive-level industry professionals with top broadcast and media companies.

Award-winning journalist and co-anchor of “Noticiero Univsion” María Elena Salinas will be inducted into the National Association of Broadcasters (NAB) Broadcasting Hall of Fame at the 2017 NAB Show Television Luncheon on Monday, April 24 in Las Vegas.
