WASHINGTON, D.C. -- The U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit today affirmed a temporary injunction against ivi, Inc. The injunction prevents ivi from streaming copyrighted television programming over the Internet. In response to the ruling, the following statement can be attributed to NAB Executive Vice President of Communications Dennis Wharton:

WASHINGTON, D.C. -- The NAB Education Foundation (NABEF) announced today the new members of the 2013 Broadcast Leadership Training (BLT) program. Now in its thirteenth year, the ten-month, MBA-style program is dedicated to teaching the fundamentals of purchasing, owning and operating radio and television stations to senior level broadcast executives who aspire to advance as group executives or station owners. To encourage diversity in broadcasting, NABEF offers fellowship opportunities to women and people of color.

WASHINGTON, D.C. -- In response to FCC Chairman Julius Genachowski circulating a Notice of Proposed Rulemaking to fellow FCC Commissioners regarding broadcast spectrum incentive auctions, NAB Executive Vice President of Communications Dennis Wharton issued the following statement:

The NAB Education Foundation (NABEF) announced today the return of the Leadership Development Program. The program will be held October 25-28, 2012 at NAB Headquarters in Washington, D.C. The program targets broadcast professionals with three to seven years' experience considered to be rising stars in their field.

WASHINGTON, DC -- The National Association of Broadcasters announced today that FCC Commissioner Ajit Pai will speak at the Radio Show on Wednesday, September 19 in Dallas. The event is produced by NAB and the Radio Advertising Bureau.

WASHINGTON -- Kevin Cuddihy, president of the Univision Television Group at Univision Communications, Inc., the leading media company serving Hispanic America, joins the NAB Television Board effective immediately, NAB announced today. Cuddihy assumes the seat of Univision's Executive Vice President and General Counsel Doug Kranwinkle.

WASHINGTON -- NAB today announced a record attendance of 600 registered participants at the Small Market Television Exchange, which started yesterday (Sept. 13) and ends tomorrow (Sept. 15) in Nashville. This year's attendance betters last year's total of 520 attendees, which was the previous all-time high for the event.
