Radio Personality Tom Joyner and McDonald's CMO Neil Golden Lead Multicultural Session at Radio Show

WASHINGTON, D.C./NEW YORK -- The Radio Advertising Bureau (RAB) and the National Association of Broadcasters (NAB) announced today a Radio Show super session focused on multicultural advertising. Titled "The McDonald's Story - Led with Ethnic Insights," the session will feature a conversation between Neil Golden, chief marketing officer, McDonald's USA and Tom Joyner, Host of The Tom Joyner Morning Show.

Nils Larsen Appointed to NAB Television Board

WASHINGTON, D.C. -- NAB Television Board Chair Marci Burdick has appointed Nils Larsen to the NAB TV Board of Directors effective immediately. Larsen takes the board seat that was vacated by Jerry Kersting.

NABEF Hosts Radio Show Program on Effective Networking Strategies for Career-building

The NAB Education Foundation (NABEF) will host a Career Networking Event at the Radio Show on Friday, September 16. Recruiters in attendance will include Clear Channel, the Star Radio Group, American Urban Radio Networks (AURN) and other companies in the radio business.

NRSC Seeks Location-Based Services Technologies

WASHINGTON, DC/ARLINGTON, VA -- The National Radio Systems Committee (NRSC), co-sponsored by the National Association of Broadcasters (NAB) and the Consumer Electronics Association (CEA), today released a Request for Proposals (RFP) on location-based services technologies for terrestrial radio data broadcasting that could form the basis for future NRSC standards and/or guidelines. The NRSC hopes to identify other new and innovative services using geo-location data that will benefit broadcasters and radio listeners alike.
