Alexander Skarsgard plays international mystery man Becker
AMC will offer The Little Drummer Girl, based on John le Carré’s novel, across three nights starting Nov. 19 and concluding Nov. 21. Alexander Skarsgard will star, playing Becker. Michael Shannon plays Kurtz and Florence Pugh plays Charlie.
As AMC puts it, “Blurring the fine lines between love and hate; truth and fiction; and right and wrong, The Little Drummer Girl weaves a suspenseful and explosive story of espionage and high-stakes international intrigue.” Set in the late 1970s, the thriller follows Charlie, a fiery actress whose resolve is tested after she meets mysterious Becker while on holiday in Greece. Their encounter entangles her in a complex plot devised by spy mastermind Kurtz.
The Little Drummer Girl comes from the executive producers of The Night Manager, which premiered on AMC in 2016. It marks the television debut of filmmaker Park Chan-wook.

The series is financed and produced by The Ink Factory in partnership with 127 Wall and co-producers the BBC and AMC. Simon and Stephen Cornwell are executive producers alongside Joe Tsai, Arthur Wang, Park Chan-wook, Wonjo Jeong, Michael Lesslie and John le Carré. Mona Qureshi is executive producer for the BBC and Kristin Jones for AMC.
