WASHINGTON, DC -- Two Members of the House of Representatives and one Senator have been added as co-sponsors of the Local Radio Freedom Act, a resolution that opposes "any new performance fee, tax, royalty, or other charge" on local broadcast radio stations. The resolution now has 208 co-sponsors in the House of Representatives and 20 in the Senate.

The National Association of Broadcasters (NAB) will honor Carolyn Wilkins, recently-retired vice president of Operations for the NAB Television Department, with the Chuck Sherman Television Leadership Award at the NAB Small Market Television Exchange (SMTE), held October 8 - 10 in Austin, Texas.
