The NAB Education Foundation (NABEF) will recognize winners of the 2016 Excellence in Innovative Technology Awards at a luncheon on Wednesday, November 9 at NAB Show New York, held at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center. The Excellence in Innovative Technology Awards showcase students who develop products, services or applications that impact and promote technology in the communications industry.

PILOT, an innovation initiative of the National Association of Broadcasters (NAB), announced the 10 finalists of its first-ever PILOT Innovation Challenge. The PILOT Innovation Challenge recognizes creative ideas that leverage technological advances in the production, distribution and display of engaging content. Winners will be selected and announced October 31 at the NAB Futures conference.

WASHINGTON, D.C.-- In response to an FCC order modifying the Commission’s rules and policies governing broadcast foreign ownership, the following statement can be attributed to NAB Executive Vice President of Communications Dennis Wharton:

TORONTO, Canada/WASHINGTON, D.C -- The North American Broadcasters Association (NABA) today published new information on the penetration of FM chips in smartphones for the North American market. Working with the National Association of Broadcasters (NAB) and using data compiled by research and consulting firm ABI Research, this sales data shows the extent of FM chip penetration in the top-selling smartphones for Canada, Mexico, and the U.S. for the fourth quarter of 2015 and the first quarter of 2016.
