WASHINGTON, D.C. -- The House Appropriations Committee today adopted an amendment sponsored by Rep. Andy Harris (R-MD) that would grandfather existing sharing arrangements between local television stations in place before March 31, 2014 as part of its markup of the Fiscal Year 2016 Financial Service and General Government Appropriations Bill. The amendment passed the Committee on a recorded vote of 38-11, with 30 Republicans and 8 Democrats in support. WASHINGTON, D.C. -- In response to the introduction by Sens. Dianne Feinstein (D-CA) and Chuck Schumer (D-NY) of the Consumer Drone Safety Act, the following statement can be attributed to NAB Executive Vice President of Communications Dennis Wharton:

George G. Beasley, chairman, chief executive officer and founder of Beasley Broadcast Group, Inc., will receive the National Radio Award during the Radio Luncheon on Wednesday, September 30. The 2015 Radio Show, produced by the National Association of Broadcasters (NAB) and the Radio Advertising Bureau (RAB), will be held September 30-October 2 in Atlanta.
