WASHINGTON, D.C. -- In response to reports that the FCC has voted 3-2 to presume the largest cable companies are "effectively competitive" in each market and therefore allowed to raise cable TV rates without approval from local municipalities, the following statement can be attributed to NAB spokesman Dennis Wharton:

WASHINGTON, D.C. -- In response to a markup this morning by the House Energy & Commerce Committee of FCC process reform legislation, the following statement can be attributed to NAB Executive Vice President of Communications Dennis Wharton:

This year’s NAB Marconi Radio Awards Dinner & Show will be hosted by top-rated syndicated radio personality Rickey Smiley. The event will take place October 1 at the 2015 Radio Show, produced by the National Association of Broadcasters and Radio Advertising Bureau, and held at the Marriott Marquis Atlanta.
