WASHINGTON, D.C. -- In response to the decision by the National Football League to suspend its blackout policy for the 2015 season, the following statement can be attributed to NAB Executive Vice President of Communications Dennis Wharton:

Mel Karmazin, the former head of SiriusXM, CBS and Viacom, will share his insights on the current and future state of media in a conversation with Wall Street Journal media and entertainment reporter Joe Flint on Tuesday, April 14 from 5:30 – 6:30 p.m. at the NAB Show in Las Vegas.

WASHINGTON, DC -- Three Members of House of Representatives and two Senators have signed on as co-sponsors of the Local Radio Freedom Act, a resolution that opposes "any new performance fee, tax, royalty, or other charge" on local broadcast radio stations.
