Federal Communications Commission (FCC) Chairman Tom Wheeler will speak at the 2015 NAB Show in Las Vegas, the National Association of Broadcasters (NAB) announced today. The address, which will be held Wednesday, April 15, 9:00-10:00 a.m., is expected to provide insight into the FCC’s policy and regulatory objectives related to broadcasting, technology and communications law generally.

The National Association of Broadcasters announced today that radio engineer Thomas F. King of Kintronic Labs and television innovator Richard M. Friedel of Fox have been named the 2015 recipients of the NAB Engineering Achievement Awards. In addition, an NAB Service to Broadcast Engineering Award will be presented to Ray Conover, senior engineering consultant for Hubbard Broadcasting. The recipients will be honored at the NAB Show Technology Luncheon on Wednesday, April 15 in Las Vegas.

WASHINGTON, DC -- The National Association of Broadcasters expressed its strong support for bipartisan resolutions opposing "any new performance fee, tax, royalty, or other charge" on local broadcast radio stations that were introduced in the House of Representatives and U.S. Senate today. The Local Radio Freedom Act (LRFA) signals Members of Congress's opposition to any potential legislation that would impose new performance royalties on broadcast radio stations for music airplay.
