WASHINGTON, DC -- In response to a proposal by Senate Commerce Committee Chairman Jay Rockefeller and Ranking Member John Thune to attach a plan called "Local Choice" to a Satellite Television Extension and Localism Act reauthorization bill, the following statement can be attributed to NAB Executive Vice President of Communications Dennis Wharton:

The 2014 Radio Show will feature FCC Commissioner Ajit Pai, who will engage in a conversation with NAB President and CEO Gordon Smith at the Radio Luncheon, held Friday, September 12. The 2014 Radio Show, jointly produced by the Radio Advertising Bureau (RAB) and National Association of Broadcasters (NAB), will be held September 10-12 in Indianapolis.

Following the success of the New Media Lounge at the 2014 NAB Show, New Media Expo (NMX) and NAB have agreed to expand their collaboration. NMX will co-locate its entire event and introduce tens of thousands of new media content creators and disruptive businesses to the NAB Show, April 13 - 16, 2015.
