WASHINGTON -- In response to today's oral arguments before the Supreme Court in broadcasters' case against Aereo, the following statement can be attributed to NAB President and CEO Gordon Smith:

WASHINGTON, DC -- NAB announced today that Radio Board Chairman Don Benson named eight appointees to the NAB Radio Board, with the approval of the Radio Executive Committee and Joint Board Chairman Charles Warfield. It was also announced that NRG Media President and CEO Mary Quass was unanimously elected by the Radio Board to the First Vice Chair Seat.

WASHINGTON, DC -- A majority of the U.S. House of Representatives are now co-sponsors of a resolution that opposes "any new performance fee, tax, royalty, or other charge" on local broadcast radio stations. A bipartisan group of four Representatives have added their names in support of the Local Radio Freedom Act, bringing the number of co-sponsors to 219 Members of the House and 14 Senators.
