The National Association of Broadcasters announced today it has purchased the assets of the Content and Communications World (CCW) and Satellite Communications Conference and Expo (SATCON) events from JD Events, a leading trade show organizer. CCW and SATCON, held annually in November, are co-located at the Javits Convention Center in New York City. The two events will complement NAB's existing trade shows and events, including NAB Show, held in Las Vegas annually in April.

WASHINGTON, DC -- A bipartisan group of four Members of the House of Representatives have signed on as co-sponsors of a resolution that opposes "any new performance fee, tax, royalty, or other charge" on local broadcast radio stations. The Local Radio Freedom Act is now currently co-sponsored by 188 Members of the House and 12 Senators.
