WASHINGTON, D.C. -- In response to Acting FCC Chairwoman Mignon Clyburn circulating a proposal that would make it easier for broadcasters to attract foreign investors, the following statement can be attributed to NAB President and CEO Gordon Smith:

WASHINGTON, DC -- Six Members of the House of Representatives have added their names as co-sponsors of a resolution that opposes "any new performance fee, tax, royalty, or other charge" on local broadcast radio stations. The Local Radio Freedom Act is now currently co-sponsored by 177 Members of the House and 12 Senators.
