WASHINGTON, DC -- NAB Executive Vice President of Legal and Regulatory Affairs Jane Mago testified today before the House Subcommittee on Communications and Technology today at a hearing entitled "Satellite Video 101" regarding the December 31, 2014 expiration of the Satellite Television Extension and Localism Act.

WASHINGTON, D.C. – The National Association of Broadcasters today expressed support for a bipartisan resolution co-sponsored by 73 Members of Congress recognizing the promotional value of music on free and local radio stations. The Local Radio Freedom Act (H. Con. Res. 16), introduced by Reps. Michael Conaway (R-Texas) and Gene Green (D-Texas), signals opposition to any potential legislation that would impose new performance royalties on broadcast radio stations for music airplay.

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Federal Communications Commission Chairman Julius Genachowski will participate in a question-and-answer session at the 2013 NAB Show in Las Vegas, the National Association of Broadcasters (NAB) announced today. Genachowski will sit down for a conversation with NAB Joint Board Chair Paul Karpowicz, president of Meredith Corporation - Local Media Group, on Wednesday, April 10 at 9 a.m. in Las Vegas.
