WASHINGTON, D.C. - The National Association of Broadcasters today announced new resources to assist broadcasters with the first-ever nationwide test of the Emergency Alert System (EAS), to be held on November 9, 2011 at 2 p.m. EST. The resources will help local radio and TV stations prepare for the test and raise public awareness.

WASHINGTON -- NAB President and CEO Gordon Smith today announced that NAB Senior Vice President of Government Relations Kelly Cole has been promoted to executive vice president, where she will oversee all advocacy efforts of the department.

The National Association of Broadcasters Board of Directors met this week for its regularly scheduled Fall board meeting. Below is a summary of actions taken by the Board.
