The National Radio Systems Committee (NRSC) today adopted an updated version of its FM-subcarrier based data broadcasting system standard.

In response to a poll conducted by the Consumer Electronics Association regarding possible auctions of broadcast spectrum, NAB Executive Vice President of Communications Dennis Wharton offered the following statement.

Robert Good, chief engineer of WGAL-TV in Lancaster, Penn., is scheduled to testify this afternoon before the House Energy and Commerce Subcommittee on Communications and Technology in a hearing titled "Using Spectrum to Advance Public Safety, Promote Broadband, Create Jobs, and Reduce the Deficit."
