NAB FASTROAD today unveiled a new, Internet-based Transmitter Efficiency Calculator that broadcasters can use to predict approximate transmitter system energy costs both for present operations and for the "what if" evaluation of prospective, future purchases.

The National Association of Broadcasters (NAB) announced today a new member benefit program with Agility Recovery Solutions that provides NAB members with the services they need to ensure that radio and television stations continue to broadcast to their communities during life-threatening situations.

Over the years, radio has expanded into new products and frontiers. New technologies (such as integrated FM antennas, power-saving and low profile chipsets) have made it feasible for local broadcast radio receivers to be included in fixed and mobile consumer electronic devices, including cellular phones.
