WASHINGTON – In response to the FCC creating procedures for low-power television stations (LPTVs) and translators to apply for a Special Displacement Window if they are being forced off the air by the incentive auction, the following statement can be attributed to NAB Executive Vice President of Communications Dennis Wharton:

WASHINGTON, DC -- Five Members of the House of Representatives have joined as cosponsors of a bipartisan resolution that opposes "any new performance fee, tax, royalty, or other charge" on local broadcast radio stations. The Local Radio Freedom Act (LRFA) now has 191 cosponsors in the House and 22 in the Senate.

WASHINGTON – In response to the U.S. Court of Appeals for the D.C. Circuit denying an emergency stay of the FCC’s restoration of the UHF discount, the following statement can be attributed to NAB Executive Vice President of Communications Dennis Wharton:
