WASHINGTON, DC -- Seven Members of the House of Representatives and six Senators have added their cosponsorship to a resolution opposing "any new performance fee, tax, royalty, or other charge" on local broadcast radio stations. The Local Radio Freedom Act (LRFA) signals Members of Congress's opposition to any potential legislation that would impose new performance royalties on broadcast radio stations for music airplay.

The 2020 NAB Show will be held April 18 - 22, with exhibits open April 19 - 22, at the Las Vegas Convention Center.

The National Association of Broadcasters (NAB) will present the NAB Engineering Achievement Awards at the 2019 NAB Show in Las Vegas. Cavell, Mertz & Associates’ President Garrison C. Cavell and Senior Broadcast Consulting Engineer Cindy Hutter Cavell will receive the awards at the We Are Broadcasters Celebration on Tuesday, April 9.
