Next-generation broadcast television moves a step closer to reality at the upcoming 2016 NAB Show, when live transmissions originating from the show floor reach prototype receivers designed to demonstrate the myriad new capabilities of ATSC 3.0. Four days of NAB Show exhibits at the Las Vegas Convention Center (LVCC) open Monday, April 18.

WASHINGTON – The National Association of Broadcasters announced today that Ray Baum, formerly senior policy advisor to the House Committee on Energy & Commerce, will join the organization as vice president, Government Relations on March 31. He will report to NAB Executive Vice President of Government Relations Curtis LeGeyt.

The NAB Education Foundation (NABEF) will present its Corporate Leadership Award to Southwest Airlines Co. during the 18th annual Celebration of Service to America Awards, held Tuesday, June 21 at the Andrew W. Mellon Auditorium in Washington, DC.

The National Association of Broadcasters (NAB) will produce and host “Broadcast Cybersecurity: The Essentials,” a live webcast that examines the growing threat of cyberattacks and how broadcast stations can best implement cybersecurity precautions, on Wednesday, March 23 from 2:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m.
