A prototype ATSC 3.0 receiver and gateway demonstrating the Interactive Environment will be featured during NAB Show, April 18-21, 2016, Las Vegas Convention Center, Las Vegas, Nev., in the PILOT booth (SU16009) at the Futures Park exhibition in the east end of South Hall, Upper Level.

The National Association of Broadcasters Education Foundation (NABEF) announced today the winners of the 2016 Celebration of Service to America Awards, recognizing outstanding community service by local broadcasters. Winners will be honored at the Celebration of Service to America dinner, held Tuesday, June 21 at the Andrew W. Mellon Auditorium in Washington, D.C.

The 2016 NAB Show will feature the new Satellite Industry Forum, a one-day program produced in partnership with the Satellite Industry Association (SIA). Held Tuesday, April 19, the forum will focus on the role the satellite industry plays in broadcasting and delivering high quality video content to and from anywhere on the planet - on land, sea or in the air.

Film, television and stage actress Keke Palmer will receive the NAB Television Chairman’s Award during the NAB Show Television Luncheon. The luncheon will be held Monday, April 18 at the Westgate Las Vegas Resort and Casino.

NAB Show and World Series of Startups today announced the final five market-ready startups chosen to participate in SPROCKIT, a showcase of industry-vetted emerging companies at NAB Show, held April 16-21 as the Las Vegas Convention Center.

NAB Show, the world’s largest annual conference and expo for professionals who create, manage, and distribute entertainment across all platforms, will feature a broad slate of sessions at the Creative Master Series. The conference will provide attendees with an exclusive look into how content creators are exploring new ways of storytelling and of using cutting-edge technology throughout production and post. The convention takes place April 16 – 21 in Las Vegas, with the Creative Master Series spanning April 18-19.

The 2016 NAB Show's Futures Park exhibition area will present a wide variety of ATSC 3.0-related demos – most shown for the first time anywhere – including live transmissions using the emerging next-gen DTV standard. Open April 18-21, Futures Park (formerly NAB Labs Futures Park) is a special section of the NAB Show exhibit hall reserved for presentations of media-related research and development projects from around the world.
