The Audio Engineering Society (AES) East Coast convention in 2017 will be co-located with NAB Show New York at the Javits Convention Center in New York City, event organizers announced today. The AES annual fall USA Convention will be held October 18-21, and NAB Show New York will be held October 18-19. The adjacent location of these events highlights the intersection of sound, video, and storytelling in today’s media landscape.

WASHINGTON, D.C. -- This morning, the National Association of Broadcasters and the Partnership for Drug-Free Kids held a press conference to announce local radio and TV broadcasters will undertake a national effort to address heroin and prescription drug abuse that is impacting communities across America. NAB President and CEO Gordon Smith and the Partnership for Drug-Free Kids President and CEO Marcia Lee Taylor spoke at the event.

WASHINGTON, D.C.-- Local radio and TV broadcasters will undertake a national effort to address heroin and prescription drug abuse that is impacting communities across America, the National Association of Broadcasters (NAB) announced at a press conference on Capitol Hill today. NAB has teamed with the Partnership for Drug-Free Kids (Partnership), a national nonprofit committed to helping families struggling with their son or daughter’s substance use, on a multi-faceted campaign through the end of 2017 to raise awareness about the rising opioid epidemic.

WASHINGTON, D.C.-- In response to an FCC order eliminating a rule allowing broadcast TV station owners to discount UHF stations when calculating compliance with the national audience reach cap, the following statement can be attributed to NAB Executive Vice President of Communications Dennis Wharton:

Speaking proposals are now being accepted for the Broadcast Engineering and Information Technology Conference (BEITC) at the 2017 NAB Show, held April 22-27, in Las Vegas. Proposals for all other conferences and signature sessions open September 15. NAB Show is the world's largest electronic media show covering the creation, management and delivery of content across all platforms.
