WASHINGTON, D.C. -- In response to the selection of Rep. Greg Walden (R-OR) by the Republican Steering Committee to serve as Chairman of the Energy and Commerce Committee in the 115th Congress, the following statement can be attributed to NAB President and CEO Gordon Smith:

The second annual NAB Show Shanghai will feature enhanced educational programming, including three core conferences, four conference tracks and a new exhibit floor. Produced by the National Association of Broadcasters (NAB) and the International High Tech Cultural Device Cluster (TCDIC), NAB Show Shanghai is scheduled for December 6-9, 2016 at the Kerry Hotel and the adjacent Shanghai National International Expo Center in the Pudong District of Shanghai, China.

WASHINGTON, D.C. -- In response to a study by the Phoenix Center on the promotional value that broadcast radio provides the recording industry, the following response can be attributed to NAB Executive Vice President of Communications Dennis Wharton:

PILOT, an innovation initiative from the National Association of Broadcasters (NAB), in partnership with the Local Media Association (LMA), will host an OTT Summit on Monday, January 23 at NAB headquarters in Washington, D.C. The summit will examine logistics of incorporating OTT (over-the-top content) into existing business models and how to successfully leverage the technology.

Jim Denault, ASC, cinematographer; Alec Jarnagin, SOC, camera operator; Bruce MacCullum, SOC, camera operator; and David J. Thompson, SOC, camera operator, will appear together at NAB Show New York to discuss the role camera operators play in creating compelling storytelling and what it takes to get “the shot.” The session will take place Thursday, November 10, 10:00 a.m. at the Javits Convention Center in New York City.
