WASHINGTON – In response to a letter to the FCC from tech company executives in support of Microsoft's television white spaces (TVWS) proposal, the following statement can be attributed to NAB Executive Vice President of Communications Dennis Wharton:

The 2017 Radio Show Marketplace will feature a 2017 Ford Focus demonstrating the top three solutions for linking a driver’s smartphone with their auto dash. These include: Smart Device Link (SDL), a neutral platform that works for all top smartphone models; CarPlay, Apple’s link for iPhones; and Android Auto, Google’s link for Android phones.

Jacobs Media/Jacapps President Fred Jacobs and Amplifi Media Founder/CEO Steven Goldstein will participate in a session titled “New Platforms, New Devices > New Strategies” on Wednesday, September 6 as part of the 2017 Radio Show. Produced by the National Association of Broadcasters (NAB) and the Radio Advertising Bureau (RAB), the Radio Show will be held September 5-8 at the JW Marriott Austin.

New and emerging artists and bands from top record labels will perform at the 2017 Radio Show’s Music and Mimosas event on Friday, September 8 from 8:30-10:30 a.m. Produced by the National Association of Broadcasters (NAB) and the Radio Advertising Bureau (RAB), the 2017 Radio Show will be held September 5-8 at the JW Marriott in Austin.
