The Streaming Summit, a two-day event that focuses on the business and technology of OTT video, will once again join the NAB Show New York conference.

WASHINGTON, D.C. – In response to yesterday's announcement by the FCC that it will consider a report and order to modernize children’s television programming rules at the July Open Commission Meeting, the following statement can be attributed to NAB Executive Vice President of Communications Dennis Wharton:

The Streaming Summit, a two-day event that focuses on the business and technology of OTT video, will once again join the NAB Show New York conference.

WASHINGTON, D.C. -- Jordan Wertlieb, President, Hearst Television, Inc., was elected chairman of the NAB Joint Board of Directors, NAB announced today. Wertlieb takes over from Caroline Beasley, CEO, Beasley Media Group, whose term expired.

WASHINGTON, DC -- Nine Members of the House of Representatives and one Senator have added their cosponsorship to a resolution opposing "any new performance fee, tax, royalty, or other charge" on local broadcast radio stations. The Local Radio Freedom Act (LRFA), which signals Members of Congress's opposition to any potential legislation that imposes new performance royalties on broadcast radio stations for music airplay, now has 175 cosponsors in the House and 22 in the Senate.

Charlotte Jones Anderson, Dallas Cowboys executive vice president and chief brand officer, will share strategies for building a world class brand around the customer experience in a Radio Show feature session, Thursday, September 26.

WASHINGTON, D.C. -- NAB President and CEO Gordon Smith testified this morning at House Energy & Commerce Subcommittee on Communications and Technology hearing entitled, “STELAR Review: Protecting Consumers in an Evolving Media Marketplace.”
