WASHINGTON, D.C. -- In response to the FCC's approval today of an Order modernizing contest rules for local radio and TV stations, the following statement can be attributed to NAB Executive Vice President of Communications Dennis Wharton:

The NAB Education Foundation (NABEF) and the Broadcast Education Association (BEA) today announced the winners of the Freedom of Speech Public Service Announcement Contest for college communications students. The first-place winners in the television and radio categories will be recognized during an event held during Free Speech Week in October.

WASHINGTON, DC -- One Member of the House of Representatives and one Senator have been added as co-sponsors of the Local Radio Freedom Act, a resolution that opposes "any new performance fee, tax, royalty, or other charge" on local broadcast radio stations. The resolution now has 212 co-sponsors in the House of Representatives and 21 in the Senate.

The NAB Education Foundation (NABEF) announced today the new members of the 2016 Broadcast Leadership Training (BLT) program.

WASHINGTON, D.C. -- In response to a blog post by FCC Media Bureau Chief Bill Lake regarding a proposal to eliminate exclusivity rules for broadcast programming, the following statement can be attributed to NAB Executive Vice President of Communications Dennis Wharton:

Brandon Berger, chief digital officer worldwide, Ogilvy & Mather, will kick off the “Advertising Outlook: Trends in Content & Technology” workshop on Thursday, November 12, as part of NAB’s Content and Communications World (CCW). CCW will be held November 11-12 in New York City.

WASHINGTON, D.C. – The National Association of Broadcasters announced today that its technology division, NAB Labs, has entered into a corporate partnership with 1776, a Washington, D.C.-based startup hub providing resources and networking connections for startups within regulated industries.
