NAB Show today announced that Graham Media Group, Media General, Meredith, Pearl TV, Raycom Media and the E.W. Scripps Company will participate in the third annual SPROCKIT program as corporate members.

WASHINGTON, DC -- In response to the introduction of FCC process reform legislation today by Sen. Dean Heller (R-NV), the following statement can be attributed to NAB Executive Vice President of Communications Dennis Wharton:

The National Association of Broadcasters (NAB) announced today the first-ever Online Video Conference (OVC) will take place April 13 – 14 during the 2015 NAB Show.

WASHINGTON, DC -- Tanya Van Pool has been named vice president of Research for the National Association of Broadcasters, it was announced today. Van Pool takes over as head of NAB Research, a division of the NAB Communications Department, in a position held previously by Sharon Warden, who retired from the organization at the end of 2014.

The National Association of Broadcasters (NAB) announced today that it will present the new NAB Digital Leadership Award at the 2015 NAB Show. The award will be presented to an individual at a broadcast station, group or network who has had a significant role in transforming a traditional broadcast business to succeed on digital media platforms in a measurable way. Consideration will be given to use of technology, mobile applications, social media, and/or web-based information management and marketing.

The National Association of Broadcasters announced the 50 finalists for the 28th Annual Crystal Radio Awards. Since 1987, the NAB Crystal Radio Awards have recognized radio stations for their outstanding year-round commitment to community service. Winners will be announced and the finalists will be honored at the NAB Radio Luncheon. The Luncheon, sponsored by ASCAP, will be held Tuesday, April 14 during the 2015 NAB Show in Las Vegas.

WASHINGTON, DC -- Today the National Association of Broadcasters released a new resource for broadcasters assessing their options for participating in the upcoming incentive auction. This information provides a market-by-market compilation of data the FCC has released concerning opening bid prices and high-end estimated payouts. It also provides a first look at the number of volunteer stations the FCC may need to participate in each market to repurpose targeted amounts of spectrum. This analysis is based entirely on information the FCC has publicly released.
