WASHINGTON, D.C. -- NAB Executive Vice President of Legal Jane Mago testified this morning at a House Energy & Commerce Subcommittee on Communications and Technology hearing on "Media Ownership in the 21st Century."

WASHINGTON, DC -- Two Members of the House of Representatives have joined the coalition co-sponsoring a resolution that opposes "any new performance fee, tax, royalty, or other charge" on local broadcast radio stations. With their co-sponsorship, there are 224 Members of the House and 15 Senators who have signed on to support the Local Radio Freedom Act.

WASHINGTON, DC -- NAB President and CEO Gordon Smith has agreed to a contract extension that will keep him in the position until December 31, 2018, NAB Joint Board Chairman Charles Warfield announced today.

The National Association of Broadcasters (NAB) and the Radio Advertising Bureau (RAB) announced that the 2014 Radio Show will feature the annual Leadership Breakfast, sponsored by Pillsbury Winthrop Shaw Pittman LLP. The Breakfast, titled "Capitalizing on Radio's Potential," will be held on Thursday, September 11, 7:15 - 9:00 a.m. at the Indiana Convention Center in Indianapolis.

Speaking proposals are now being accepted for the 2015 NAB Show, held April 11-16, 2015 in Las Vegas, Nevada. In addition to the world's largest expo of media and entertainment technologies, NAB Show offers unparalleled educational opportunities that demonstrate how innovations in digital media may generate new business and career opportunities.

Bayard H. (Bud) Walters, founder and president of The Cromwell Group, will receive the National Radio Award during the Radio Show Luncheon on September 12. The 2014 Radio Show, produced by the Radio Advertising Bureau (RAB) and National Association of Broadcasters (NAB), will be held September 10-12 in Indianapolis.
