The 2014 Radio Show Technology Program, produced by NAB Labs in cooperation with the Society of Broadcast Engineers (SBE), will address developments in AM and hybrid radio among other technology and engineering issues impacting Radio. The Radio Show, held September 10-12 in Indianapolis, is produced by the Radio Advertising Bureau (RAB) and the National Association of Broadcasters (NAB).

WASHINGTON, DC -- NAB announced today it intends to file a petition at the U.S. Court of Appeals for the D.C. Circuit challenging the Federal Communications Commission's 3-2 decision on March 31 prohibiting joint sales agreements between two television stations, while failing to complete a required review of its broadcast ownership restrictions.

WASHINGTON, DC -- A bipartisan group of three Members of the House of Representatives and one Senator has joined the coalition co-sponsoring a resolution that opposes "any new performance fee, tax, royalty, or other charge" on local broadcast radio stations. With their co-sponsorship, there are 222 Members of the House and 15 Senators who have signed on to support the Local Radio Freedom Act.

The 2014 Radio Show today launched the new Creative Edge Panelist Challenge. Through the contest, three panelists will be selected for the Radio Show session titled "It Starts at the Top: Reinvigorating Station Creativity." Contestants are encouraged to submit fresh ideas on incorporating creativity into on-air and online content. One program director, one digital director and one production director will be chosen to participate in the session.
