WASHINGTON, D.C. -- The National Association of Broadcasters (NAB) will accept nominations from NAB member radio stations between May 1 - 31 for the 25th NAB Marconi Radio Awards, which recognize overall excellence in radio broadcasting. Winners will be announced during the NAB Marconi Radio Awards 25th Anniversary Dinner & Show, held September 11 at the Radio Show in Indianapolis.

WASHINGTON, DC -- In response to complaints filed with the Federal Communications Commission regarding broadcasters' political files, the following statement can be attributed to NAB Executive Vice President of Communications Dennis Wharton:

The National Association of Broadcasters (NAB) is now accepting speaking proposals for the 2014 Content and Communications World (CCW) and Satellite Communications Conference and Expo (SATCON), held November 12-13, 2014 in New York. CCW is a leading media, entertainment and communications technology event focusing on content creation, management and delivery technologies. SATCON offers a conference and exhibition serving companies in the satellite-enabled communications and content delivery industry.

WASHINGTON, DC -- In response to a bipartisan agreement by the House Energy & Commerce Committee on legislation to reauthorization the Satellite Television Extension and Localism Act, the following statement can be attributed to NAB President and CEO Gordon Smith:

WASHINGTON, DC -- In response to the introduction of legislation today by Reps. Marsha Blackburn (R-TN) and Anna Eshoo (D-CA) that would block a broadcast television station from receiving retransmission consent payments if its parent company also owns a radio station that does not pay a performance royalty, the following statement can be attributed to NAB Executive Vice President of Communications Dennis Wharton:

WASHINGTON, D.C. -- Schurz Communications Senior Vice-President of Broadcasting Marci Burdick testified today at a House Subcommittee on Courts, Intellectual Property, and the Internet hearing on "Compulsory Video Licenses of Title 17."

NAB President and CEO Gordon Smith delivered a speech today at the 2014 ATSC Broadcast Television Conference, which brings together industry stakeholders to develop voluntary standards for digital television.
