WASHINGTON, D.C. -- Schurz Communications Senior Vice-President of Broadcasting Marci Burdick testified today at a Senate Judiciary Committee hearing on "Reauthorization of the Satellite Television Extension and Localism Act."

WASHINGTON, DC -- A bipartisan group of four members of the House of Representatives have signed on as co-sponsors of a resolution that opposes "any new performance fee, tax, royalty, or other charge" on local broadcast radio stations. The Local Radio Freedom Act is now currently co-sponsored by a coalition of 206 Members of the House and 14 Senators. The resolution will achieve a majority of support of the House of Representatives with the co-sponsorship of an additional 12 Members of Congress.
