The National Association of Broadcasters announced the 2013 NAB Marconi Radio Awards Dinner & Show will feature a performance by The Mavericks. The event, sponsored by St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, will take place September 19 at the 2013 Radio Show at the Rosen Shingle Creek Hotel in Orlando.

WASHINGTON, DC -- A bipartisan group of 13 Members of Congress have signed on as co-sponsors of a resolution that opposes "any new performance fee, tax, royalty, or other charge" on local broadcast radio stations. The Local Radio Freedom Act is now currently co-sponsored by 151 Members of the House and 11 Senators.

The National Association of Broadcasters Education Foundation (NABEF) announces open registration for the 2013 Leadership Development Program, to be held on October 24-27 at NAB Headquarters in Washington, D.C. This program targets broadcast professionals with three to seven years of experience considered to be rising stars in their field.
