NAB will accept entries for the 2013 NAB Crystal Radio Awards, honoring outstanding community service, beginning January 1, 2013.

Japanese public broadcaster NHK will present the latest iteration of its Super Hi-Vision system at the 2013 NAB Show. It will be featured in the new “NAB Labs Futures Park,” a section of the NAB Show exhibition floor reserved for broadcast-related research and development projects from around the world.

The latest developments in live mobile broadcasting, which brings popular TV shows to mobile devices, will be highlighted next week in the Mobile TV TechZone (Central Hall 14340) of the International CES. Consumer demand for live, on-the-go TV content is driving new products and services coming from broadcasters and device manufacturers, many of which will be on display at CES.

WASHINGTON – NAB Television Board Chair Marci Burdick has appointed Post-Newsweek Stations President and CEO Emily Barr to the ABC Affiliate Board seat of the NAB TV Board of Directors, effective immediately. Barr takes the board seat of Alan Frank, who retired from Post-Newsweek Stations.

NAB and Future Media Concepts (FMC) announced today that a Digital Publishing Workshop has been added to the Post|Production World (P|PW) training program at NAB Show, April 6-10 in Las Vegas, NV. Produced in coordination with FMC’s newly launched TAP! (Technologically Advanced Publishing), this 3-day, multi-track workshop will focus on digital publishing, marketing and monetizing content in a connected world.
