In response to today's announced new Stylebook guidelines from the Associated Press for coverage of mental health issues, NAB President and CEO Gordon Smith issued the following statement: "The National Association of Broadcasters strongly endorses the new AP Stylebook entry related to reporting on mental health. NAB will help educate broadcasters on this initiative, and we encourage our network partners and newsroom personnel at all radio and television stations to adopt the suggested guidelines."
