ITHACA, NY-- Over the last 17 years the Milwaukee region’s multicultural population grew by 45 percent, while the Hispanic population grew by 94 percent.

Those are just some of the findings in new demographics report on the Milwaukee region released Geoscape, a division of Claritas, one of the nation’s leading market and segmentation research companies.

Also of note in the report:

• More than 43% of Milwaukee households are comprised of married couples with no children, which is just above the national average of 42%;

• The estimated average Milwaukee household income in 2018 is $71,129, slightly below the national average of $71,997.
