Weekend/Weekday Technical Media Producer

Job Description

WTAP has an immediate opening for a full-time TMP or Technical Media Producer. This position was formerly known as Technical Director and Master Control Operator. Job requires evening and weekend hours. Possible temporary switch to mornings to cover vacations/sick days. Responsibilities include the following: * This position would consist of readying the studio for air, coding rundowns prior to the newscasts and directing the newscasts live * It would also consist of various other duties such as operating Master Control during the operator's lunch break as well as if an operator is off as well as possibly running Master Control and directing weekend shifts * WTAP does a few on-location productions as well such as an annual telethon and local High School football games in the fall. This position may be asked to help out with said events


Requirements:


* A high school diploma, G.E.D. or higher is required * A solid understanding and previous usage of Windows PCs cut/paste shortcuts * Applicants must be able to think fast, multitask and remain calm under extreme pressure as things don’t always "go as scripted" ◘ Interested applicants can apply online at https://gray.tv/careers#currentopenings by searching the station call letters (WTAP-TV) and attach resume
