WASHINGTON, D.C. -- In response to letters from FCC Chairman Tom Wheeler to the Chairmen and Ranking Members of the Senate Commerce and Judiciary Committees and Sen. Chuck Schumer (D-NY) regarding their concerns about potential Commission action on broadcast exclusivity rules, the following statement can be attributed to NAB Executive Vice President of Communications Dennis Wharton:

WASHINGTON, D.C. -- In response to the decision made by delegates at the World Radiocommunication Conference to keep UHF spectrum exclusively allocated to terrestrial TV services for the next decade, the following statement can be attributed to NAB Executive Vice President of Communications Dennis Wharton:

The National Association of Broadcasters (NAB) released the complete program agenda for the first-ever NAB Show Global Innovation Exchange | Shanghai, December 3-4, 2015 at the Shangri-la Kerry Hotel, Pudong, Shanghai, China. Produced in partnership with the Chinese National Base for International Cultural Trade-International High Tech Cultural Device Cluster (TCDIC), the conference will include presentations focused on the rapidly expanding Chinese market, new-to-market product demonstrations and targeted networking opportunities for industry professionals from around the globe.

The National Association of Broadcasters (NAB), producers of NAB Show and NAB Show New York, today announced that verified attendance at the 2015 NAB Show New York reached a record 7,206 industry professionals. The newly branded NAB Show New York (formally CCW featuring SATCON) was held November 11 – 12 at the Javits Convention Center and is the largest media, entertainment and satellite communications technology conference and exposition on the East Coast.

Successful radio host and Web entrepreneur Kim Komando will speak at the NAB Show Radio Luncheon, held Tuesday, April 19, 2016 in Las Vegas and sponsored by ASCAP. NAB Show is the annual conference and expo for professionals who create, manage and distribute content across all platforms.

WASHINGTON, DC -- Three members of the House of Representatives have joined as co-sponsors of the Local Radio Freedom Act, a resolution that opposes "any new performance fee, tax, royalty, or other charge" on local broadcast radio stations. The resolution, which was introduced in Congress less than eight months ago, has 223 co-sponsors in the House of Representatives and 23 in the Senate.
