More than 550 public service announcements (PSAs) will be distributed to television and radio stations across the country today through the 2015 NAB Congressional PSA Campaign. The program invites members of Congress and their families to be featured in free, professionally-produced spots that address issues of importance to their constituents.

The National Association of Broadcasters (NAB) announced the finalists for the 2015 NAB Marconi Radio Awards, honoring radio stations and on-air personalities for excellence in broadcasting. The winners will be announced October 1 at the NAB Marconi Radio Awards Dinner & Show, sponsored by HD Radio and held during the 2015 Radio Show in Atlanta.

WASHINGTON, D.C. -- In response to the FCC’s removal of a pair of proposals related to the upcoming incentive auction from its July meeting agenda, the following statement can be attributed to NAB Executive Vice President of Communications Dennis Wharton:

Grammy nominated singer and BMI songwriter Gavin DeGraw will perform at the NAB Marconi Radio Awards Dinner & Show, sponsored by HD Radio. The event will take place October 1 at the 2015 Radio Show, held September 29-October 2 in Atlanta and produced by the National Association of Broadcasters (NAB) and the Radio Advertising Bureau (RAB).

WASHINGTON, DC -- NAB President and CEO Gordon Smith announced today that Curtis LeGeyt, NAB senior vice president, Public Policy, has been promoted to executive vice president, Government Relations, where he will oversee all advocacy efforts of the department. LeGeyt will replace Kelly Cole, who announced last week that she is leaving NAB on Aug. 14 to launch an independent consulting firm.

WASHINGTON, D.C. -- In response to the FCC’s approval of a proposal affecting the Commission's operation of its field offices, the following statement can be attributed to NAB Executive Vice President of Communications Dennis Wharton:

WASHINGTON, DC -- Three Members of the House of Representatives have been added as co-sponsors of the Local Radio Freedom Act, a resolution that opposes "any new performance fee, tax, royalty, or other charge" on local broadcast radio stations. The resolution now has 203 co-sponsors in the House of Representatives and 19 in the Senate.
